Probir Geoffrey Dutt is a director and music composer, hailing from the Dutt family of Rambagan in Calcutta, renowned author and poet Toru Dutt, and Romesh Chunder Dutt, once Prime Minister of Baroda being a part of his family lineage. His mother is from Liverpool and was cousin to The Beatles’s member George Harrison. He has a diploma in Robotic Process Automation from UiPath, studied Drama and Theatre Arts at Blue Coat School of Drama, studied filmmaking, screenwriting, cinematography, producing, screen music, directing, editing and sound design at Australian Film Television and Radio School, has a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology with a thesis in Genetic Engineering from the University of Leeds, and has a masters degree in Computer Science with Business Administration with a thesis in Artificial Intelligence from the Middlesex University.

He has several certifications from renowned companies like Miller Heiman Group, Scaled Agile Inc., IAG, UiPath, IBM, Lanyon, Microsoft, ICAgile, RCA Records, 3Com and ANZIIF. As a student in drama school, he once performed alongside Julie Dench on stage. He also has volunteer experience in Norwood Primary School, ABCN, St. Roch’s Primary School, and Ewing Kindergarten and has also worked as a composer, screenwriter and director for Rok Starr Films and as an Automation and AI Evangelist for IAG. He also once had a recording studio that he shared with Steve Hackett (Genesis) and Steve Howe (Asia).

Probir Dutt has directed and produced the movie The Three Ages of Sasha (2012), the short film Two Die (2009) and the video for Secret Love (2009). He has worked as a musician on the short films Walls (2014), Femme Fatale (2014), The Narrative Always Crashes (2014), With Guston in Mind (2015), Psychological Rapport (2015), The Promise (2015), Bright (2015), Voltaire’s Distraction (2015). 2018 proved to be his most productive year as he worked on several projects like Wave, Performance, Ski, Hue, Apart, A Drone in Flight, Go, Imperial, Intersection, Colourfield, Swagger, Jewel, Yellow, Subdivision, Sign on the Dotted Line, Wonder, Bow, Expansion, Bombarded, Centre, Bluey, The Other World, Oval, Close, Uber, Restless, Crystallise, Liquid, It’s a Gas, Network, Burial, Exile and many others.
