Nurul Alam Atique is a screenplay writer, film director, and author of Bangladeshi origins. He is a man of many talents. Nurul has written the screenplay for several Bangladeshi television dramas and movies as well. He has also worn the cap of the director for various movies and worked as an associate director for some. He is the author of two books and has also edited one. The screenplays written by him include serials Chiti, Polayanporbo, Ekta Phone kora jabe, plz, Kushumer Cahrpash, Golpoguchcho, Icecream, Chondrobindu, A journey by boat, Jaal, Bikol pakhir gaan, Saifulartish, Baro vooter kichha and many more. He wrote the books Moger Mulluke Firingeer Beshati and Notun Cinema Shomoyer Proyojon and edited the book Nree (issues on SM Sultan, Myth, etc.).
His body of work as a cinematographer includes Laal Moroger Jhuti, Dubshatar, Phulkumar, Sonabali, and Kittonkhola. He has been honored with the award for Best Scriptwriter for his drama Bikol Pakhir Gaan by Daily Star - SCB Critic Awards and Meril Prathom Alo Critic Awards 2010. He also received the Best Director award by Meril Prathom Alo Critic Award and Daily Star - SCB Critic Awards 2010 for the same drama. His contribution as a scriptwriter to the film Kittonkhola was awarded the Bangladesh National Award. He has also been awarded for his work in Choturtha Matra and Cycle er Dana.
