Indrasis Acharya

Indrasis Acharya is an Indian film director who works at a Bengali cinema. He became famous after directing his debut film, Bilu Rakkhosh, which gained national and international fame. Indrasis next worked in Pupa which received good reviews and won numerous awards and medals. There were Hanoi international, Kolkata international film festivals, and many more. The pupa has won numerous awards and awards around the world including Best Director and Best Film Awards. His third film was Parcel winning the Best Director (Hiralal Sen Memorial) award at the 25th Kolkata International Film Festival.

Indrasis Acharya did his B.Tech in Instrumentation and electronics from the University of Jadavpur after earning an honors degree in physics from the University of Calcutta. Currently, he works for a well-known MNC.  He has completed his latest package and is working on a new feature called Maya bhoy (The Fear)

Acharya's first film Bilu Rakkhosh. The film portrays a journey of peace-seeking paths to the roots of this ever-changing world of social and sensory science. Acharya made his second film Pupa. The film won numerous awards and accolades from the international and national film industry. The pupa has been nominated as the sole entrant from Bengal for the Kolkata International film festival. They competed in the Hanoi International Film Festival, the Kolkata International Film Festival, the Singapore South Asian Film Festival, and much more. It has won 4 top film awards including a Critic choice award such as the Best Bengali film of 2018, WBFJA, and many more as well as the award for Best Director.

Pupa talks about the relationship of the son's father. The story is based on the conflict of young minds to choose between a scientific career or having a sick father when a wise man (his uncle) comes to rescue him from adversity.
