Partha Pratim Choudary was an Indian film Director and Actor. He was born in 1938 in West Bengal. He debuted as an actor with the 1959 Bengali drama film, Indranath Srikanta O Annadadidi, directed by Haridas Bhattacharya.
To talk about his personal life, Choudary was born and brought up in West Bengal. He graduated from the Scottish Church College under the University of Calcutta. Choudary was introduced to the Bengali film industry during his college years. Apart from being a director and actor, he is also a gifted Dramatist, Cinematographer, Music Director, and Scriptwriter. In 1957, he started a theatre group called Sundaram, from where he later moved on to film direction.
Choudary's first film as a director was the 1963 film Chhaya Surya, after which he went on to direct Subha O Debatar Gras and Dolna in 1965, Hangsa-Mithun in 1968, Jadu Bangsha in 1974, Subho Kemon Aachho? in 1978, Rajbadhu in 1982, and his most successful project, Pujarini, which was released in 1984.
