Tapas Kumar Raha is an Indian Cinematographer and Director of Photography who predominantly worked in the Bengali Film Industry. He was born in Asansol, West Bengal. He resides in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal. He finished schooling at Eastern Railway Boys High School and Higher Secondary School in Asansol. He studied at TDB College or Triveni Devi Bhalotia College in Raniganj, West Bengal. He was intrigued by cinematography and photography and studied visual media with passion. He joined Bengali Film Industry in the 1990s and has since grown from strength to strength by winning numerous accolades in the field of photography and Cinematography. He also worked in the Odia Film Industry.
