Indira Ray was an Indian actress who used to work predominantly in the Bengali film industry. Her career began in 1937 with the comedy fantasy movie Alibaba, based on the Arabian Nights, written by Khirode Prasad Vidyavinode and directed by Modhu Bose, where she played the role of Sakina alongside actors like Sadhona Bose and Bibhuti Ganguly.
She then proceeded to star in several other movies like Chokher Bali (1938), written by Rabindranath Tagore and directed by Satu Sen, starring Rama Banerjee and
