Sumon Patwary

Sumon Patwary is a Bangladeshi stage, television and film actor who was born and raised in Dhaka. He started his career as an assistant director in 1998 with the Bangladesh Television drama series 'Mahasangha'. Since then, he has acted in over 50 popular dramas on TV channels like ATN Bangla, Channel I Bangladesh etc. His notable works include 'Shomoy Churi' (ATN Bangla), Rokter Ronge (Channel I) and Shmashon Pralobhan(Tara Music). Apart from acting onscreen, Sumon has a strong presence in stage performances. He appeared in several plays, including 'Dojonar Doshoru', 'Jibonti Bhalobasha', and 'Sundor Mounir Akhane Ekti Kotha Noy'.

In 2020 he made his silver screen debut with the movie " Buno Haansh". Over time he established himself as one of the leading actors in the fine arts arena by appearing in many Bengali films, such as Agnee 2, Dhaka Attack 2017, and Nabab 2019, to name a few. Sumon is also committed to portraying various social causes through his acting. He actively works with NGOs to launch different developmental projects and awareness campaigns. His commitment towards society earned him several prestigious awards, including National Film Award(2013), Best Actor in a Supporting Role at Bangladesh International TV Awards (2017) and ATN Bangla's 'Most Popular Actor' award(2018).
