Shaukat Akbar was a famous Bengali actor in Bangladesh. He worked in the Bengali film Industry. He was born on seventh March 1937, in Kolkata in ,British India. He has been active since 1963 and has performed in over two hundred and fifty films in both Bengali and Urdu language. His Bengali films are Notun Sur, Eito Jibon, Megh Bannga Rodh, Milan, Janajani, Sat Rang, Apon Dulal, Bhawal Sanyasi, Agun Niye Khela, Janglee Phool, Alor Pipasha, Jibon Theke Neya, Abuj Mon, Chhutir Ghotna, Mahanayak, Beder Meye Josna, Hangor Nodi Grenade, Shonkomola, Avisap, Sagor, Oporichito, Boro Bou, Ishara and Fakir Mojnu Shah. The Urdu films in which he worked are Talash, Paisay, Aakhri Station,Bhaiya, Poonam ki Raat, Hamdam, Gori, Jugnoo, Dil Ek Disha, Waiting room, Choloe Maan Gaye, Behorom and Shrife Hayat.
