Plot

Lala Kedarnath is the elder brother, and he has four sisters. He runs a Panipuri shop. There is a blind belief in his area that if a pregnant woman eats panipuri from his shop, she would deliver a boy baby. Lala’s mother got a promise from him that he should marry after getting all his sisters married to the right people. So, he works hard for that. Lala is in love with Sapna. Will Lala manage to fulfill the promise he made to his mother? The rest of the story deals with it.

Star Performance

Akshay Kumar did justice to his character. His expressions and body language are fantastic. Bhumi Pednekar fits well in the role as Sapna. All the supporting characters are good with their performances.

Analysis

The film has a good family sentiment written by Himanshu and Kanika. But, the writing should have been a bit impressive. Aanand L Rai executed the script well. But, the sentiment drama became a social message script, and that turned into a boring element. Many films deal with dowry and other issues related to the marriage system. When people expect only a sentiment story with a good performance from Akshay, the social message makes them feel a bit bored. The songs are okayish. The cinematography is good.

The film is good in sentiment and performance. But, with its less-effective writing, it misses something the audience wants to see. However, it is watchable once!
