Bishwarup Bandyopadhyay is a Bengali actor who has played a lead role in “Durga Durgeshwari”. He was previously seen in the serial “E Amar Guru Dakshina”. Bishwarup holds a management degree and used to go to a corporate job before he took acting as a profession. Bishwarup plays the role of Omkar, whose family is controlled by a lady, who is an astrologer. She takes advantage of people who come to her to find solutions to their problems. Earlier his performance in “E Amar Gurudakshina” as a hero was applauded. He shares in an interview that he never thought to become an actor but he often took part in plays. After completing his MBA he took a job but it never felt right to him.
He completed the one-year professional course at IIM joke, after which he was offered many jobs but nothing hit his heart. Some of his friends advised him to take a chance in acting and so he ended up here. He gave his first performance in Ruspi Bangla’s “Sri Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu”. He worked on that series for two consecutive years but was forced to leave midway because of some problems. Bishwarup mentions that he is a wanderer. He likes to travel a lot. He shares his experience of visiting Uttrakhand, Kashmir, Bihar, etc. Some of his previous serials are E Amar Gurudakshina, Sri Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, etc.
