Sorkalam is a Tamil language educational show that aired in 2016 on Vasantham. The show grants a debating platform for children around the state. Sorkalam, which translates to "war of words", is a show where students from secondary schools in Tamil Nadu participate in a debate compete and compete against each other. This unique show was initiated by the People’s Association Narpani Pearavai and in collaboration with MediaCorp Vasantham.
Sorkalam has become a national debating competition in Tamil Nadu, endorsed by the Ministry of Education.
