Margazhi Utsavam is a special Tamil TV show that airs on the TV channel Jaya TV. The channel has been organizing this musical bonanza for the past twenty – years. One can consider Margazhi Utsavam as a music recital where stalwarts of the classical music industry showcase their talent. The focus is mainly on carnatic music. In the year 2019, the twentieth edition of the function was held at the Kumararajah Muthiah Hall, in Chennai.
The performance of the artists was divided into episodes for the benefit of the viewers. Parts of the show were telecasted on Jaya TV from 16th December at 8 AM and 5:30 PM. One can also watch the segments on Jaya TV’s YouTube channel.
