Vetri 2 is the second season of the Tamil television serial. After the first season received great praise from both audiences as well as critics, the channel renewed the show for a second season. The second season also tells the story of students of Delta Secondary School. The students of the school have been exploited by the loose system of the school. They don’t listen to anyone and have lost all sense of purpose. They are unmotivated and need some much-required inspiration. Their casual and irresponsible behavior has caused a great ruckus in the school. The principal of the school decides to put them on the right path. For this, he hires a great motivational speaker who has been greatly discussed in the city. He invites him to the campus to do a motivational seminar. He is Vetri Vel and he is known for his wit and powerful words. The principal offers Vetri to become the coach of the team to inspire them and motivate them further to achieve something.

Vetri, after a lot of convincing, agrees to this and joins the school. After his joining, he starts interacting with the students. His powerful and smart way of talking induces motivation into students and inspires them. His talks turn average and run-of-the-mill students into good students and good students into geniuses. Soon many students turn into good, well-mannered, and studious bunch of students who are motivated to achieve whatever their hearts desire. The show has a great cast in place with Jay Nesh playing the role of Vetri Vel. His brilliant acting style gives the character much depth. Along with him, Anand K plays Mano, Eswari plays Kayalvizhi and Nishmen plays Varun.

The show had a total of 47 episodes which aired on the popular Tamil channel, Vasantham. Vasantham is a Singaporean Tamil channel which has become quite famous in India for its great shows. The show released on television on 22 June 2015 and ran on air till the end of the year. The show received much praise for its great storyline and characters which were equally relatable and inspiring. The show was watched hugely by a large number of Tamil viewers. The success of the second season made the producers confident about renewing the show again for the third season which released on the same channel and was again a huge success.
