Vetri 3 is the third season of the popular Tamil Television serial. The show focuses on two main characters and their journey after Delta Secondary School. One is Vetri and the other is Kayal. After the current batch of students passes with great marks, Vetri plans to move from Delta School. Kayal too wants to move and start taking her career more seriously. The third season sees them as they make huge changes in their career and come out as two hugely successful people who are equally respected in society because of their choices. Kayal and Vetri both move to the Strive Junior College. Vetri takes up the assignment of coaching the under-19 cross country team of the East Zone. This boosts up the career of Vetri as he sees this as a huge opportunity. He gets a chance to see the students of the Strive Junior College up close and gets to interact with all of them. He is soon introduced to the new teacher and the assisting coach called Sahana. Soon Vetri gets comfortable with his new team and the team to respects him because of his talent and personality. Vetri also gets close to Sahana and their friendship starts developing. He shares with her almost everything that happens to him and she also shares with him events from her life. All is going well for everyone.

The students are getting trained from the best and Vetri has a new friend with whom he can share his feelings. But soon new students join the team and they find Vetri’s method to be a bit childish and old. They find him too naïve and this affects Vetri’s confidence and he soon starts losing his grip. Apart from this, there are also lots of subplots in the show which explores the lives of other major characters and reason their motivations. One such character is Amaran who is in a relationship with Naveena. They are facing problems as they can’t meet with each other as Naveena is always busy with her Under-19 team and she isn’t allowed to go inside the training camp. This causes a huge rift in their relationship. The show has a stellar cast in place which includes major television faces such as Jaya Ganesh, Eswari Gunasagan, M. Meshanthe, Manimala M., and many others. The show started airing on television from 27 June 2017 and ran till the end of the year. The show had a total of 47 episodes. The show aired on the popular Tamil channel, Vasantham.
