It communicates to the audience how appearances can be incredibly deceptive, and one should not trust someone solely based on how they look, Â and conduct themselves.
The story is set in the 1990s in a fictional town called Tanjung Federick. A string of murders take place in the town and the case is forcefully assigned to Kathir, a police officer who was going through a tough time in his personal life. Being an alcoholic and a chain smoker, he constantly remains in the public eye for all the wrong reasons. As he begins to investigate the case , he finds out that the killer only strikes on the days when it rains and that he hunts down and kills unsuspecting naïve girls. The situation gets worse and more tricky as the officer discovers the murder of his wife, leading to a series of unanswered questions and mysteries. Officer Kathir dives further into the case and investigates it alongside his colleague Sub-inspector Ezhil. Ultimately, who the killer is, what their motive is, and whether the police can catch him or not is what keeps the audience on a constant edge of their seats.
