Avantika is depicted as a young woman who is beautiful and youthful in appearance. She is a very kind and vibrant woman who is quite content with her life and tries to bring joy to everyone around her. Her tranquil life experiences a seismic shift when a man named Sourabh Jahagirdar proposes marriage to her.

Even though she is unwilling at first, with time and effort from Sourabh she finds herself falling for him. She agrees to his proposal and they get married on a happier note. After the marriage, she dreams of a happy life with her in-laws and her husband. However, even though at first things seemed well enough for her, her dreams get shattered once she finds out about the secret affair that her husband Sourabh has with their housemaid named Maithili.

Distraught and heartbroken at her husband's betrayal she decides that she will fight for her right as the rightful wife and stand up against all the wrongdoings that she might be subjected to in the future. As she had guessed before, her life at her in-laws doesn't turn out to be easy. She is met with obstacles and challenges every day. However, she is not disheartened by it.
