under the Shashi Sumeet Productions banner located at the bottom of Shirdi. The story centres on a 20-year-old college student, Kirti, who dreams of becoming an Indian police service officer, and Shubham, a confectionery owner and confectioner. When her parents died in a terrorist attack, she lost her dreams. Planning to move abroad, her brother Sagar arranges his marriage to Shubham, whose mother is Jiji Akka, a strict mother, who wants her daughter-in-law to be simple and uneducated with the skills of a housewife.
