A Malyalam musical reality show "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Keralam" premiered on 6 April, 2019, on the Zee Keralam channel. Essel Vision Productions created the show, and it is the Malayalam version of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, India's longest-running singing competition. The latest edition of the music show, "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Keralam," is titled "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs," specially designed for children aged 5 to 14.
Zee Keralam Channel officially announced the launch date for its musical reality show, "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Keralam Season 2." The show premiered on 29 July and aired every Saturday and Sunday at 9:00 p.m. The show's host was Jeeva Joseph, while the judges included Madhu Balakrishnan, Shaan Rahman, and Sujatha Mohan.
This show provides a platform for children to showcase their musical talents and nurture their skills.
This year, the following contestants performed: Pavithra Padmakumar Menon, Sayanth S, Megha Sijimon, Swarna KS, Amrita Rajan, Nish T Chellappan, Rushail Roy, Anantha Gopan, Arjun V Akshaya, Meenakshi ML, Nitin K Siva, Gayathri Menon, Devanjana Mahijan, Nandhu Krishna CM, Megha Gopikuttan, Aleena M Jose, Aman Sakha, Sreejith Babu.
The show follows a scoring system where expert judges score the contestants based on their performance. The competition consists of 8 quarter-final games, with two male and two female singers performing in each game. One contestant, is selected from each quarter-final game. The semifinals comprise four games, with eight male and eight female winners from the quarter-finals participating.
Each semifinal round features four males or four females, leading to four semifinals (two with four males and two with four females). The finals showcase the four semifinal winners, two males and two females, competing against each other. Therefore, one male and one female contestant emerge as the season's winners.
