It is a game show, where participants are isolated from the outside world and have to live in Bigg Boss’ house with all the live cameras keeping an eye on them 24/7. Contestants remained in the house for 16 weeks. The show is produced by Endemol Shine India and telecasted on Asianet. It premiered on Valentine’s Day, i.e. 14th February 2021. Earlier the show had 14 contestants who got selected from different fields like acting, dance, music, etc. Auditions for Bigg Boss began in August 2020. There was a task called ‘Share the memories’ where contestants had to share memories of their lives.

Each week’s task was given, and those who performed well were selected for the captaincy of the house. Those who become the captain for the week are safe from the Elimination. Those who didn’t perform well in the Luxury Budget Task have to go to prison without any facilities. One contestant gets eliminated every week. It ran for a total of 97 episodes. Mani Kuttan became the winner of the show, announced on 1st August 2021. He received the title ‘Entertainer of the Season’. He got Bigg Boss Trophy and an apartment worth Rs. 75 lakhs.
