DD Chandana’s Taana Yaana is probably the most underrated program that showcases Karnataka in a simple yet soothing manner. A long journey and a strong heart are all we need to cheer up. We stand tall and love the fresh air that comes from following the ever onward road. We stride in bold steps, feeling a sense of pride in each one. This journey is not about a specific destination or any arrival point or finish line for there is no such thing. This journey is about the travelling, the travelling companions and the reason for the noble struggle. Friends come, friends go, oftentimes we are left alone, yet we have the path and our two well-clad feet to move on.
Taana Yaana is based on such a journey. The show itself is very relaxing and informative despite the low production quality. It has a good number of episodes showing several touristy destinations of Karnataka presented in a crisp, composed and calm manner. If you like travelling then you should definitely give this serial a try because of its calming visuals and portrayal of nature’s beauty.
