Swayamvaram means the practice of the girl choosing a guy she wants to marry from a group of suitors in the presence of her family. It could be deemed as a combination of both love and arranged marriage. It was followed in ancient India, mostly among the Kshatriya families. Swayamwara is a reality show in which a girl can pick the guy she likes from the given five choices.

She has a week in which she can interact with all the five guys, get to know their qualities, their occupations, their childhood, their family, their likes and dislikes, their daily routine, their habits, their idea of fun, their promises to her about how her life would be after getting married, their plans for the future, how he plans to share responsibilities, what he expects from her in the marriage, etc. The good thing about the show is that there are no limitations to who can participate.
