Kanyadaana had beena typical plot in the Kannada Tele Serial Industry. The story had been the only serial to bag the Karnataka State Government Award for twice in a row. The storyline had been revolving around a brave lady named Ranjeetha. Describing her, she had been a gallant lady, who has married off into a prosperous family. She made the greed of all and assorted. Now, it is the time for the twist in the story. After entering her Mother-in-law dwelling, she had a shock in her spine. She had realized that her Husband Suraj had been a mentally challenged Lunatic person. She came to a conclusion that she in-laws had been the culprits in enticing her into this marriage. Since she had been received the good education as well as having been modern, she had decided to leave her matrimonial home. But Fortune did not favor her.

The situation surrounding her forced her to stay away from the patrimonial home and bear upon with Suraj.After a point of time, Ranjeetha had begun to cultivate a certain amount of benevolence towards her husband,Suraj. It also made her more tolerant while she had been dealing with him. Later she had found that her husband was not lunatic since his birth. She had also established that someone in the family had not taken an indecent move to treat the disease uncared. She had been working hard to unveil the ugly truth behind her husband’s lunacy. She had also decided to reveal to her husband about his lunacy before she leaves his place.

When she had been proceeding with her deductive work, she has been falling in love with Suraj. She cuddled him and started to feel for him filled with the senses of possessiveness over her husband. The emotional activities of Suraj were heart touching. Despite his lunacy, he was able to understand the feelings of his fellow human being, Ranjeetha. He had been responding and obeying the commands of his wife at a later part of time. The arrogance in Suraj sublimed day by day. Ranjeetha had added colors to the life of Suraj filling it with love, romance, and happiness.

The scenes with Suraj and Ranjeetha had made in such a manner that any ordinary viewer of the show would weep in extreme emotion.
