, which is a remake of the Bengali serial, Mohor on Star Jalsha. The story of Mohor has been remade into several other Indian regional languages. Honganasu narrates the story of Vasundhara, an ambitious, educated, and a young woman. Vasundhara escapes an arranged marriage forced on her by her orthodox father with her deceased sister’s husband, Rajiv. Jagathi, Vasundhara’s mentor, gets Vasundhara an interview to get admitted into the prestigious Devendra Bhushan Institute of Science and Technology (DBST) in Hyderabad.
Rishendra Bhushan aka Rishi is the young and brilliant Managing Director of DBST. Rishi also is Jagathi’s son. However, they do not share a cordial relationship, nor do they live together. Vasundhara gets admitted into DBST and Rishi is her professor. The story follows Vasu and Rishi as they tackle societal notions and eventually fall in love against all odds of their love story.
