The main story is based on the legendary Emperor Ashoka, who lived in 304 BC. The serial deals with the problems faced by the emperor and how he turned out to be a fantastic ruler. Ashoka is the son of King Bindhusara. The enemies attack Bindhusara’s wife, Dharma. Bindhusara thought that the enemies killed her, but she escapes from them, and after some days, she gives birth to Ashoka. After some years, Chanakya, who meets the talented Ashoka, finds out his birth secret. But, he promises Dharma that he will not reveal it to Bindhusara. Ashoka comes to know about his life secrets through an astrologer. With Chanakya’s help, he plans to destroy the enemies who tried to kill his mother. Finally, the family gets united, and the enemies are sent to prison. Even in that situation, Dharma requests Bindhusara not to kill the enemies and allow them to lead a good life. That’s the reason why Mir, the one who tried to kill Dharma, was spared. After some years, Ashoka was announced as the heir of Bindushara, the future King of Pataliputra. On the day of Ashoka’s wedding, Dharma was killed. Ashoka finds out the culprit behind the murder. During the Kalinga war, Ashoka gets a huge success, but after seeing the death of crores of people, he decided to quit violence and converted to Buddhism.
