Zameen Se Aassman Tak was a Hindi drama television series that was aired on Sahara One channel during 2004. the serial was produced by famous Indian actress of Bollywood Film Industry of yesteryear's, Aroona Irani under the banner of A.K. Films. It was said by the critics that the series was inspired by block buster Hindi movie Waqt. The series was directed by Ashok Gaikwad and Aruna Irani and the star cast included Kiran Kumar, Aruna Irani, Jividha, Sudha Chandran and Hansika Motwani among others. The story revolves round the life of Balraj Thakur (played by Kiran Kumar) who is separated from his family due to an earthquake. His wife Aruna Irani and daughter Jividha spend their life in utter poverty and the daughter takes the job of a dancer in a bar due to paucity of money. They live with an old lady who has given shelter to them looking to their impoverished condition. Unable to find his wife and daughter even after his best efforts, Balraj gets married again to Sudha Chandran and creates a new family. By the turn of events, one day Balraj bumps into her wife Aruna Irani and now as fate would have it, he has two families which he has to look after. Balraj's troubles begin here and after a lot many dramatic situations, he succeeds in extricating himself from the situation and the two families unite.
