Initially, he didn’t want to be a singer. They moved to Mumbai from Nagpur and one day, he sang for the Ganpati Festival and a friend gave him the address of Suresh Wadkar’s Institue. When Suresh heard him singing, he told his parents that Rahul should take music lessons and he studied for six long years. Since then, he took his singing career seriously.
