. It features the character of Feluda. Feluda is a private detective started in a Bengali series, novels, and short stories. He lives at twenty-one Rajani Sen Road, Ballygunge, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Feluda first appeared in a Bengali children's magazine called Sandesh in 1965, under the editorial direction of Satyajit and Subhas Mukhopadhyay. His first adventure was Feludar Goendagiri. Feluda comes with his cousin, his assistant Tapesh Ranjan Mitter (Topshe), who serves as the narrator of the stories. Feluda has occasionally been filmed, with the character portrayed by Sabyasachi Chakrabarty, Parambrata Chatterjee, Abir Chatterjee, Shashi Kapoor, Soumitra Chatterjee, Ahmed Rubel, and Tota Roy Chowdhury.
Satyajit Ray directed two Feluda films - Sonar Kella (1974) and Joi Baba Felunath(1978).

made a new series of Feluda films (sequel to the original series) about Feluda's adventures which started from Baksho Rahashya (1996). In this series, he made ten TV movies and six Bengali-language theatrical films about the character. Sandip Ray also directed a standalone Feluda film Badshahi Angti (2014) which was to be the first film. But the series was canceled, and Sandip Ray returned to the previous film series.
