It is a typical Indian soap opera in Tamil. On 7 November 2011, the show went on air on Star Vijay. It mostly airs from Monday to Saturday at 8:30 PM. Azhagar is the director of the show.
Francis Kathiravan is the writer of the dialogues, story and screenplay. It is one of the most successful Tamil shows to ever go on air, with its 1000th episode airing on 18 September 2015.
Such is the fashionableness of the serial that it was later remade in Telugu and was telecasted on MAA TV. It is a family drama, which can be seen with the family with a pinch of romance.
Rachitha Mahalakshmi and Kavin play the lead roles in season three of the show. The story revolves around two youngsters, Meenatchi and Saravanan. These two are very different from each other, or you can say that they are poles apart.
They have lived different lives, they grew up in different family backgrounds, had a different kind of education, and by nature, they are quite the opposite from each other. Saravanan is a fun loving guy and is a popular Radio Jockey in Chennai. Meenatchi is a shy girl from Thirunelveli. She works at a small school in the city. The story in this season is nothing different from the prior episodes. Their families meet each other for the first time, for the purpose of discussing the marriage of their young children.
Both households seem to be happy with each other, and even Meenatchi and Saravanan seem to have no doubts about it. Due to some problems, their proposal fails to materialise, and their marriage is now a distant dream. The story doesn't finish here. Despite these problems, Saravanan and Meenatchi are deeply infatuated with each other and are willing to go through anything to be with each other.
Each season, it is a similar story, only with the cast changing. We get to see how two people, who are entirely different from each other, fight for each other against the forces of the world. Their families are against each other too, and this only makes their task more difficult. They need to convince their respective families for the marriage and not be coerced into a wedding they aren't interested in.
