This comedy and satirical genre serial had been a great hit. The main story of Vellanakalude Naadu revolves around the two protagonists of the serial, Sivdasan and Kunjumol. The name of the serial was inspired by the 1988 drama satire Vellanakalude Naadu directed by Priyadarshan. Translated as ‘the land of white elephants’, the serial had been a great love to the audience.
The main idea of the serial remains quite the same, with Sivdasan and Kunjumol falling in some problems or the other and then solving it. Susu is the friend as well as a neighbor of Kunjumol, and both share a relation of jealousy among them. The serial casts a character named Manjulan who, in every episode, comes up with something new.Â
The episodes usually start with Sivdasan and Kunjumol and end with them too, with other characters coming and playing their roles in between. Each episode of Vellanakalude Nadu ends with a social message and is worth watching.Â
The characters of the serial are Sivdasan, Kunjumol, Susu, Vinod, Jimmy, Manjulan, sister of Sivdasan, and brother-in-law of Sivdasan. It was broadcasted every Sunday at 10:30 pm on  Asianet tv.
