Chocolate is a story about a girl named, Shyamlee. She aspires to be a young pastry chef, cooks delicious chocolate chip cookies and pastries. She achieves it. She is a lovable girl, who is fond of her job. She loves her family very much. Her life changed after she meets a handsome wealthy businessman, Vikram. Her life takes a twist after marriage. Will she be able to perform all her duties in the same way after her marriage? The opening theme of the show was" Yaar ival chocolate Pennival." The show was originally made in Malayalam and later, it was made in Tamil.

This show was originally aired on Surya TV and later on Sun TV (Tamil) because of its rising popularity. The running time of the show is approximately thirty minutes. Directed by Anshaar Khan and produced by Inspire Films Pvt Ltd. The creative director of the show is V. Chandrashekar and K. Ramakrishnan. T

The cast includes Rahul Ravi as Vikram in the lead role. Later he was replaced with Bipin Jose due to his busy schedule and engagement in its Tamil version. Sandra Babu plays the lead role of Chocolate serial. Her character name is Shyamlee, Sreya Surendran – Soundarya, who loves Vikram but failed to woo him. Sharika – Kousalya, playing the role of the mother of hero Vikram in the show. Lishoy – Sethumadhavan, father of the hero, Ravi Kumar – Parameswaran Mangalath, grand-father of the lead actor, KPAC Sajeev – Lakshman, Chithra – Nila. Kottayam Pradeep – Balan, father of Shyamlee, Gayathri Priya – Lakshmi, mother of Shyamlee. Shalini – plays Shyamlee in Chocolate. Some actors were common in both, the Malayalam and Tamil version. The first episode was telecasted on 20th May 2019. The last episode was released on 20th March 2020.
