Cinema Diary is a show that exclusively offers an assortment of everything hot and happening in the field of Malayalam cinema at the time. The show features making, behind the scene footages that no other show offers. We are presented with a short preview of the content of the show in the beginning .The show reports about a film in making directly from the location where the film is shot. It also includes a short interview of the celebrities associated with the film explaining about their character in the movie thus giving us a feel of the colour of the film before it is released. It also reports on latest award functions, CD releases, celebrity interviews in talk shows, offering us a little sneak peak increasing our curiosity. The show also promotes new films by airing trailers of the upcoming and new movies. It has also become a promotional platform for movie makers as the show has large number of viewers. The show also appreciates the exemplary work done in the movies by crediting a segment to view the best song of the week and also the best movie of the week. It usually is the last segment of the show.
The show is hosted by bubbly and charming Arundhathi who shot to fame by starring in super star Mohanlal movie. She was offered the role because the makers were impressed with her work on this show. This show has become a one stop show for all the movie buffs as it offers information regarding not only the Malayalam cinema but also about the movies in other languages. It is aired in ASIANET TV every Sunday at 10.30 pm.
