Genes is a reality tv show aired on Zee Kannada. Genes is inspired by the Tamil show of the same name aired on Zee Tamil. After its popularity in the Tamil language, they made it in several other languages. The show was aired on 18th January 2020. The show is hosted by Kannada actress Sushma Rao. It is a weekly show aired twice a week for one hour. The first season of the show was aired for a total of 23 episodes and ended on 5 April 2020. The show invites different celebrities in each episode, and as the name suggests, they play a game related to family genes.
In the show, there is an interesting segment and the celebs, who play the game, have to match the right person with his family. The show has four rounds, and after winning each round, they get some money as a winning amount. In the first episode, Sushma tells the viewers the concept of the show and then invites the first guest. Tv star Subbu and Pushpa were the first guests of the show. After their introduction, they talked about the importance of being in a joint family, and they shared their childhood stories.
In the next episode, the host invited Aditya and Pritam to play the games. They also did some performances to entertain live audiences. In another episode, actresses Meera and Jhende were invited.
