The original language of writing was Kannada but further got translated into other languages. The book attracted an audience by covering significant aspects of a small Indian village like the caste system, murder investigation, love story, blind beliefs, friendship, communal riots, and politics. The show Chidambara Rahasya was directed by famous actor and director Janapeeta Awardee Girish Karnad, and assistant directed by Chaitanya with an approximate running time of 18 to 20 minutes.
