. It is a story of two girls namely Tanu and Sonia who are childhood best friends. They share everything among themselves including emotional high and low situations. They are separated in the course of life and after they grow up find themselves in a strange situation having married the same man, Harsh unknowingly. Thus they turn to sautans eventually.
Tanu is a very traditional and an obedient Indian wife, whereas Sonia is a typical career woman. When Tanu comes to know about the cheating of Harsh, she deserts him. Sonia is carrying at that point of time and so she does not share it with Sonia who eventually comes to know about the fraud committed by her husband. Through a lot of misunderstandings, both the girls get a divorce from Harsh. Sonia forces Tanu to marry the man she always loved and on the day of marriage Harsh kills Sonia and is charged for murder. Tanu ultimately gets married to man of her dreams-Uday and the story comes to an end.
The serial was originally aired on Metro Gold Channel in 223 episodes from February 2001 to November 2002.
After the serial ended in metro Gold channel, it was re-telecast on various Indian channels including Star Plus and Door Darshan. Later on, in 2006, the serial was also shown in TV Asia Channel in USA.
