Thiri is the political thriller featuring Ashwin Kakumanu and Swathi Reddy in the lead roles. " V Jayaprakash" plays a significant role in the political thriller flick. Ashok Amirtharaj S directed the film. Anton Ranjith and Vetri Kumaran produced the film under the banners Oxygen Cinemas and Sea Shore Gold Productions. KG Venkatesh is the cinematographer and Vijay TV Super Singer fame "Ajeesh" is the music director. SP Raja Sethupathi is the editor of Thiri. Thiri star cast also includes " Karunakaran," AL Azhagappan, Anupama Kumar and Daniel Anne Pope. Besides being a political thriller, the film has a beautiful relationship between father and a son.

His father is a school teacher, who is very strict outside but affectionate at heart. Jeeva loves Swathi, the girl next door. Swathi’s dad stuck into a trouble and the reason is the politician, Angannan. In a tiff, Jeeva slaps Kishore, who is the son of Angannan. So, Angannan messes with Jeeva’s conduct certificate. Finally, Jeeva decides to clash with Kishore and Angannan. Did he win the battle or not? Watch it in theaters!

Star Performance

Performance wise all the artists are good and no negative comments. Producer Azhgappan plays the bad politician and has excelled in his role. Similarly, Jayaprakash plays a strict yet affectionate father and a disciplined teacher.

Ashok Amirtharaj’s story is not much impressive and is very much predictable. Comedy scenes are forcibly inserted in the screenplay and there is no use in adding it, as it doesn’t even bring slight giggles. Ashok should try a better script, next time.

What’s There?

  • Beautiful star cast and all of them have done their part perfectly
  • Bonding between the dad and son
  • Cinematography is okayish

What’s Not There?

  • Predictable story is a big minus
  • Slow screenplay tests the patience
  • Ajeesh’s music is not impressive

Thiri is a usual story with predictable Twists! Ashwin, the chocolate boy, has turned an action hero and except this, nothing is new in the film. In short, Thiri fails to bring light!
