Plot
Maanik is a confused guy, who doesn’t know to choose his life partner. He has a curse that when he proposes any girl, her father will die. Maanik romances many girls, but Keerthi loves him truly. When his life had been going on as it wishes, Maanik and his friend were abducted by a gang. The gang leader, who is said to have killed hundreds of people, orders them to do illegal works. How did the friends get away from the villain’s place is the rest of the plot. Did Maanik marry Keerthi? Watch the film in theaters!
Star Performance
Ma Ka Pa Anand fit in the role perfectly. His comical appearance, body language and the expression are good. Aruldoss’ role is not designed well and it irks the audiences. Like all the other films, the heroine doesn’t have a meaty role.
Analysis
Maanik is not a unique story, but if the screenplay was designed good, it might have got a better reach. The characters are not well written, especially the villain. The film has a lot of logical loopholes. As it is a comedy genre, the audiences didn’t mind it. The cinematography, music and the rest of the production and technical values are good.

With an average story and a weak screenplay, the director had tried to bring his best. Although his attempt is appreciable, he could have tried a bit better for a better screenplay and the characterization. Maanik – Not impressive
