Muruganandam is a police constable. He is married and has a son. Due to an incident, Muruganandam is suspended. He seeks the help of DIG Kamal. Kamal reinstates Muruganandam and requests him to do a favor. Kamal holds unofficial custody of an accused and asks Muruganandam to Lathi charge him for his poor behavior. Muruganandam does this, and later, he gets back into trouble when he comes to know that the accused is the son of a notorious gangster, Sura. As his son is affected, Sura decides to take revenge on Muruganandam and his son. Will the constable save his son from Sura? The rest of the film deals with this.
Vishal is good with his performance. He fits well in the role. Prabhu has done a neat performance in his guest role. Sunaina and others have done a decent job.
The film has some exciting sequences, unlike other cop films and action movies by Vishal. Vishal has worked out a lot for the film, and it is evident. However, the lengthy stunt sequence in the second half tests the patience. The first half of the film had neat writing, and the second half lacks logic. Some overdramatic scenes in the second half irk the audience. The visuals are neat, and the BGM by Yuvan is good.
What’s Not There?
Though the film has some minus points, the performances of the stars and Vishal’s transformation for the role make the audience watch the movie for once!
