has Mahesh, Ananya, A. Venkatesh, Yuvarani and Jegan. This is the story about a petty thief, who is misused by a Police officer.
Mahesh plays the role Karthi. Ananya plays as Sona. First half of the movie revolves around Karthi and Jegan and their college life. Karthi is a college student, who does petty thieving for his personal expenses. But, he accepts his mistakes, when he is caught. When he accepts his mistakes to a police officer, he misuses Karthi. The illegal Police officer handles many such petty thieves and misuses them for his illegal work. Karthi and Sona’s attraction takes a huge time to come into action. Between the hero and the cop, the heroine gets caught. The rest of the story deals with the fight between the corrupted Police officer and the hero.
The story is not a catchy one. Mahesh had a great breakthrough through his debut movie Angadi Theru. His performance was appreciated in Angadi Theru. Though Mahesh had gotten a few offers, he could not shine as well. Mahesh has been trying hard to establish well in his career; but the story selection is not good. Though there are a few interesting facts in the climax of the movie, it is not well shot by the director. The director tries to present a good message; but as it is not clearly stated, his efforts go in vain.
The screenplay of the story as well as the narration is very good. But the director forgets to provide the rest of the story in an interesting way. Ananya is perfect in her role. Venkatesh is the corrupted Police officer, who does his role perfectly. Bala Shriram is the debut director with this unique story. Iravum Pagalum is a movie that has a different story, but it fails to attract the viewers.
