Plot
Sarkar is a farmer who lives with his family in Dindigul. Arunthavam, the eldest son of Sarkar, is the district topper, and he wishes to become a doctor. This was at the time NEET was introduced. Arunthavam faces a lot of hurdles, and Sarkar is ready to go to any extent to make his son a doctor. What happens to Arunthavam’s doctor’s dream? The rest of the story deals with this.
Star Performance
Vidharth has delivered his best. His performance as a lovable father to fulfill his son’s dream is fantastic. Vani Bhojan has got limited screen time. Yet, she has given her best. Her emotional performance is easily connected to almost all caring mothers. Rahman, who plays the role of Manickam, excels in the given role.
Analysis
Many films have spoken about NEET and its effects and Anjaamai has joined the queue. The first half of the film moves with the real happenings. Those sequences are touching along with the performances of the leads. In the second half, the director took cinematic liberty, which didn’t help the film impress the audience. However, the challenges faced by the parents to fulfill their children’s wishes regarding education are effectively shown. Though the courtroom sequences are okay to watch, they didn’t satisfy to a great extent. The visuals, editing, and the BGM are neat.
