Plot
Shruti, a college student gets stuck in Ooty due to the Bandh. She has to go to her hometown Kozhikode. While she is searching for a way to get to her hometown, she meets her dad’s friend Krishnakumar alias KK. KK is a divorcee and he is said to have an attraction towards ladies. All of his friends including Shruti’s dad believe this. But, they haven’t shared it with their family. Shruti’s mom thinks that all the friends of her hubby are good. When Shruti tells KK that she is unable to go to Kozhikode, KK tells her that he will drop her, as he is on the way to Kozhikode. Shruti accepts it at once and starts with him. What is the real color of KK? Is he a womanizer? Did Shruti reach her home, safely? Watch the film in theaters!
Star Performance
Mammootty has performed extremely well. No stardom… nothing… he has done such a good job. Karthika emotes well as a youngster. People, who had criticized her with her previous performances, would definitely love her performance in Uncle. Muthumani’s performance is highly laudable. She has delivered such a wonderful performance with lots of emotions. Joy Mathew has also performed well as a perfect dad.
Analysis
Joy Mathew has scripted a contemporary story, about the men in the society and how they are portrayed. Girish Damodar’s direction is flawless and it doesn’t seem to be a debut film for him. The characterization is good and the film gradually showcases the original color of the people. Certain scenes make out heart to beat fast and we will be sitting with the wide opened eyes thinking what will happen next. The cinematography has just played in Wayanad. The greeneries cool our eyes and make us travel along with the film. The film doesn’t project any sexism content and we have to definitely appreciate the director for this.

The film comes with a good message, which had been delivered with lots of thrills. The society’s perception of the men is defined well. Uncle is definitely a must-watch family thriller.
