Plot

The story revolves a newly married couple, Sreeja and Prasad who are struggling with financial needs in their life, unable to cope with their lifestyle they decide to sell Gold chain of Sreeja.

However life takes a bigger turn for Prasad and Sreeja when the Gold chain gets stolen by a thief during a bus journey and now they must face the new problems that arise with it.

Star Performance

The cast starrs Fahadh Faasil as Prasad and Nimisha Sajayan as Sreeja, both of them do an excellent job at portraying the married couple who are struggling in life but somehow find support in each other.

Nimisha Sajayan, Alencier Ley Lopez, Vettukili Prakash, and Sibi Thomas also did a fantastic job at playing the supporting roles.

Analysis

The film takes shapes slowly which can be observed from its lengthy playtime, but the long scenes and detailed story telling does not disappoint you at all as you are left with your eyes stuck at the screen with plenty to read between the lines and every scene tells a tale.

The struggles of Sreeja and Prasad definitely leaves you feeling sympathetic for them sometimes but other times you’d be too busy laughing at the antics and brilliant humorous dialogues in the film.

The ending of the movie is satisfactory and watching the movie all the way through to know what happened with the lost chain of Sreeja is definitely worth taking the time as the character progression is beautiful and you would be left to feel for the characters.

There aren’t enough translations of the film.
The film lacks suspense.

Verdict

Movie “Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum” is a well written almost genius piece of film making. The story progression is beautifully done and it has the potential to be re-watched and laugh each time, the actors do an amazing job at bringing this Malayalam film to life.

Overall Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum is a brilliant Malayalam movie that it should be watched and enjoyed by everyone who loves the Malayalam Cinema.
