Right from the moment he gets married off, he loathes his wife right from the moment of their marriage. He realized he was poles opposite to his wife and there was nothing he liked about him, on top of it they were left with no private time to spend. His knot was tightening after the marriage, but the situation became unbearable when his family planned their honeymoon to Palani, a town in Tamil Nadu with an entire busload of people, which got Shajith more disappointed. One day he explodes that he can’t tolerate this marriage and wants divorce. The rest of the story revolves around how the couple fights for divorce because his wife Kanthi not in favor of getting a divorce.
Star Performance
Fara Shibila as Khanti steals the show with her eyes which conveys the character’s pain. Also, Asif Ali’s emotional expressions and innocence of Ahmed make you root for his character. The Storytelling and the characters are freshly portrayed. Everything was complemented and blended well.
Analysis
The movie tells the story of an arranged marriage that was done hastily. This movie has two stories beautifully amalgamated together which engages the audience. The story is one of the heart-touching and relevant topics that is handled soothingly. The entire courtroom drama is realistic and also the pain felt by the man acted by Ahmed Shidique dwells in his life. The film speaks not only about divorce, it’s also about the upbringing of a man whose opinion is not valued. The humor is mediocre, though Basil Joseph's character gives a few laughs. The movie is not only for entertainment purposes it leaves behind a message to some controlling parents who forget where to put a break and stop interfering. It provides a beautiful message that it's not the outer beauty that counts instead, the bond of hearts is the fuel for a happily ever after life.
