Noorondu Nenapu is a romantic entertainer scripted by late Suhas Shirvalkar. The film is directed by M Kumaresh. Suraj Desai and Manish Desai produced the film under the banner 3 Lion Production. Chetan Kumar and Meghna Raj play the lead roles. Rajavardhan, Sushmita Joshi, Rajesh Natranga, Sidlingu Sridhar, Veena Sunder and Yash Shetty are also in the supporting cast. Gagan Baderiya composed the music and the cinematography is by SK Rao. Noorondu Nenapu is the remake of “Duniyadri,” the Marathi film.

The film is set in the backdrop of 80s. Shreyas is a college student, who tries to learn from his mistakes in the past. He falls in love with a medical college student named Shruti Urs. The film has a love triangle and how the hero tries to lessen the complications in his life is the main plot.

Star Performance

Chetan and Meghna Raj had done justice to their roles. All the other stars had done their part, as required by the script. Rajavardhan, the newbie is a good performer, who knows to emote well in all situations.

The story comes with a good correlation between the characters. All the characters are designed with a well-shaped background story. The team has also concentrated in the costumes and it synced well with the 80s. Kumaresh had chosen the right script and also has picked the right cast.

What’s There?

  • Casting is one of the biggest pluses in the film
  • Rajvardhan and Meghna’s performance is fantastic; especially Rajvardhan proved his mettle in both the extremes
  • Songs and the background scores synced well with the period film

What’s Not There?

  • Except for some tiny flaws like the accent of Chetan, we didn’t notice any negatives

Noorondu Nenapu is a good throwback film. If you are a period film lover, then this film would definitely meet your choice. Have a visit to the theater!
