Plot
In a village, violence is the only solution to most of the problems. However, one boy, Rahul, has had enough of this. To protect his family, he decides to rise against the combined forces of Matsya and Arya. But to what length shall he go to prove his worth?
Star Performances
For a debutant, Vivan KK has done a decent job. Despite the lack of a powerful screenplay, he tries his best to make up for it, and make his presence felt. The supporting actors have given him support as well.
Apart from the actors, it is the cinematographer, Ravi Kumar Sana, who has done a phenomenal job on his part. He has at least made the film look aesthetically appealing.
Analysis
A village with rules of its own. Evil landlords rule the roost. A young boy out to set things right. If you thought that this was the script for another Bollywood potboiler, wait until you see ‘Dhairya Sarvatra Sadhanam’.
The film begins by connecting the unique order of a village with hunting, meaning that only the laws of the jungle are applicable here. Any semblance of law and order will not be called for. However, if you thought that this film was as riveting and gritty as ‘Kantara’ or ‘Mulshi Pattern’, think again.
This film begins on a good note. It introduces us to the dark world of Rahul, who is forced to take the very route he once detested. However, almost an hour into the film, it loses its focus. The next we see is the repetition of elements that we are almost tired of seeing in every commercial potboiler.

’, almost every filmmaker in Kannada has aimed to replicate that model. However, it seems that most of them have forgotten the basic difference between inspiration and imitation. The plot at some places is so bizarre, it leaves the viewers scratching their heads in disbelief. In some places, it even looks like they took inspiration from the wrong films.
Despite the runtime being less than 2 and a half hours long, the film tests the patience of the viewers more than once. Some of the characters, including that of Yash Shetty, had the potential to strike big. However, the screenplay made them look like absolute buffoons, despite the best of their efforts not to. The action in this film is far from impressive, and the editing is best left forgotten.
Is the film even good? Well, for all its flaws, the film does look aesthetically fine. Credit to Ravi Kumar Sana for doing a decent job with the camera. The actors have also attempted to do full justice to their roles. For a debutante, Vivan KK doesn’t look unimpressive. He does his best, ably supported by actors like Bala Rajwadi, and Chakravarthy Chandrachud, to name a few.

‘Dhairya Sarvatra Sadhanam’ is an action drama that aims to be gritty, rustic, and commercially appealing. The visuals are above average, and the actors have done a decent job overall. The same can’t be said about the screenplay though. This film is at best, a one-time watch. Also, that is conditions apply.      Â
