Plot

Vikaasaparva is about alcoholism and its effects on loved ones. In this film, four friends have developed the habit of bonding with each other through their love for alcohol. They spend so much time drinking together that they end up neglecting their own families, and it leads to unhealthy or strained relationships. Take Pradeep for instance, his alcohol addiction negatively affects his wife and it takes too long for him to realize this. One day a tragic incident takes place where Pradeep passes away. Vicky also has a strained relationship with his wife, and his friend’s death acts as a warning for him. Through various incidents this show gives a message about alcohol addiction, its effects on the people with an addiction and loved ones, and how understanding and perseverence is needed to overcome it.

Rohit Nagesh’s acting is powerful, and he exudes a natural confidence.

Analysis

Screenplay is good and it successfully shows the effects that alcohol addiction can have on people, emotionally and physically. The music used in the film has both positive and negative aspects. Some of the music used matches the motif of the film, while others do not. The action scenes are overdone, and the story itself is too formulaic. The style of cinematography is very realistic and can depict the coarse and flawed reality of their lives without sugarcoating.
