Plot
Sanju revolves around the relationships between people, the centre being the relationship between Sanju and Saraswati. This film focuses on the different roles parents and children play in each others lives. It starts with Sanju visiting an eatery which Devu and Parvati own. He orders lemon rice but refrains from eating it for the sake of a beggar nearby.Then he walks towards a bus stop, and waits there. While waiting, he sees Saraswati rushing to the bus stop hastily. He tries to converse with her but to no avail, as she tries her best to avoid him. However, as she watches Sanju for sometime, she notices his excellent behavior and tries to get closer to him. They finally get into a conversation, and when they do, Sanju opens up to tell Saraswati about a recent breakup he went through and fell into depression. His mother put in a lot of effort to help him come out of it. After that, Saru also tells him why she went to the bus stop.
Star Performance
Manvith acts well and effectively shows his character’s loving and affectionate nature.
Shravya also acts well and is very elegant in her manners.
Analysis
The love story in the film is very typical. The film does an excellent job of giving the message that problems will always be a part of life, and the only way to solve them is through patience and focus. The locations in Kodagu chosen for the film are very visually appealing. In the second half of the film, the momentum builds up and makes the film more engaging. However, there were a few minor flaws in the screenplay.
