Plot
Ranjan and Titli are in love with each other. Ranjan doesn’t have a job. He and his father are expecting his mother’s support. His mother does a simple business from home. Though he is jobless, Titli doesn’t care for it and decides to elope with him. However, in the midway, she changes her mind, as she feels for their parents. So, they cancel their wedding and get back. Titli’s father wants her son-in-law to be a government employee. As this is his only condition, Ranjan decides to search for a government job in two months. However, Ranjan enters a time loop and wakes up on the day before his wedding, which doesn’t allow him to proceed with his wedding with Titli. What happens next? Why did he enter the time loop? Did they marry? The rest of the story speaks about this.
Star Performance
Rajkummar Rao excelled in varieties of performance so far. Though he performed well, Ranjan is not his cup of tea. Wamiqa is quite decent in her performance. Seema Pahwa, Sanjay Mishra, Raghubir Yadav, and Zakir Hussain were provided with good roles, and they did a satisfying job.
Analysis
The first half is lengthy with character establishment and plot. There are a lot of songs in the first half, and we feel that all are not necessary. The makers have provided some social commentary with humour, which worked out well, as it was not predictable. The comedy scenes are decent and worked out well. The characters given to the senior actors are designed well, and they excel well. Seema Pahwa’s self-dependent woman is interesting and appreciable. The film is technically sound.
