‘Chhaava’ has found an unlikely fan following in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh!

According to the recent reports, Telugu movie goers are persistently demanding for an exclusive dubbed version of ‘Chhaava’ in Telugu, given that the legacy of the Maratha warriors is equally popular in Telugu-dominated states. Normally dubbed versions of Telugu movies are heavily demanded in northern regions of India, ‘Pushpa 2’ being the latest example. However, ‘Chhaava’ is one of the very few Hindi movies who has managed to achieve the reverse.

The Vicky Kaushal starrer has undoubtedly earned a large share of its 200 crore plus net domestic revenue from Maharashtra, where Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and the Marathas belonged to. However, to the surprise of everyone, the movie has been equally popular in states like Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and even to an extent Tamil Nadu! Made on a significant budget of nearly 150 crores, ‘Chhaava’ is all set to become Bollywood’s first clean HIT, with a worldwide revenue of nearly 290 crores in just one week of its theatrical run!
