PLOT:
The story revolves around a reporter named Samar, who is trying hard to achieve the goals he has set for himself. Though his talk show is running successfully, in his personal life, he is facing various high and lows. Because of this, he gets alienated from his wife, Ahana. Samar is offered a great deal by the rival business group. He thought this will make him a millionaire and this greedy nature forced him to follow the shortcut to success. He accepts the deal put forth by Lisa (Neha Dhupia), and from here on, the story takes a U turn; this is the point from where the actual game of running and chasing begins.

) who owns Lisa Company along with Lisa, plays a game on Samar. Later on, Samar also realizes that he has been trapped and the way he chooses to attain power and position is a one way street. He is framed in the mirror of lucrative perks. Samar wants to expose the bad guy, Roger Khanna, and with this aim, he goes back to the old company and soon gets Roger arrested.
ANALYSIS:
Rush has an interesting plot and the story reveals the ground realities, which is amusing. However, it’s not just the storyline which needs to be strong, other factors are equally responsible. Rush could have transformed into an eye catching, salvation and aspirational movie, but after a good start, the movie got stuck at the predictable phases. Few sequences make it unrealistic and couple of songs seemed forced in the narrative. In short, Rush looks like a rushed job.
STAR PERFORMANCES:
Enacting the role of a crime journalist, Emraan looks perfect for this part and his character is relatable as well. Neha looks sensuous and sizzling, but no amount of lip gloss and attractive dresses can hide poor acting. Sagarika gets a raw deal with a small role of Emraan’s wife. With an experienced person like Aditya Pancholi, we expected more, but unfortunately for his performances, ‘palm on face’.

WHAT'S THERE?
The execution of few of the episodes were commendable. The over ambitious streak that has been projected in Emraan is relatable. The ruthless fight for gaining TRP’s and doing a news break is shown interestingly.
WHAT'S NOT THERE?
It’s always believed that Emraan is blessed with a good number of songs in his movie, but Rush sets no bar in music. Except ‘Fukra’, which is a groovy number, the remaining songs of Pritam don’t resonate.
VERDICT:
There can be two or three possible reasons as to why one should watch this movie-
1. You are a fan of Emraan Hashmi or Neha Dhupia.
2. You are expecting or going just to see the hot sequences of Emraan.
3. You have extra money and time to waste.
