Priyanka Desai

Priyanka Desai was born and raised in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She completed her schooling and was passionate about creating an impact on people and entertaining them. Priyanka went to IES King George, Dadar TT, Mumbai to prepare for SSC. She completed her bachelor’s in Mass Media and Journalism from the University of Mumbai. She did her post-graduate diploma in Modern and Contemporary Art of India and Curatorial Studies, Art History, Criticism, and Conservation. Priyanka is currently working as a Creative Producer, Writer, and Director in the Indian Film Industry. She moved to Canada for her first production gig. She went to BCIT School of Business + Media to learn social media marketing.

Recently, Priyanka has completed a Business for Producers Program at National Screen Institute. Her journey as a creative producer started as a journalist. She has also worked as a Story Producer, Field Director and Producer, Creative Supervisor, and Executive Producer. She has knowledge and understanding of audiences and cultures as she has worked across two different continents. Priyanka has also done a Certificate Course in Electronic Cinematography. She has developed skills in storytelling, post-production, video production, broadcasting, video-editing, digital media, content marketing, and many more. She has vast experience and knowledge in this field.

Priyanka has worked as a copy editor at Hindustan Times, Executive Producer at Star India, Mentee at Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA), etc. She is currently working as Impact Consultant at Heemang For You and Production Manager at Aboriginal Peoples Television Network. She received the Best Anchor Award by Ma Ta Sanman in 2012 and received Award for the Best Show in 2012 for the show Amhi Durga.
